Text: 1 Peter 1:13-21 | Series: 1 Peter

What does it mean to be holy?

Be HolyIn the past few sermons, we’ve seen the greatness of the salvation in Jesus for His followers.

We studied the believer’s identity in Jesus and the hope of a future salvation; that believers are not only saved in the past but are being saved in the present. And they will see a final salvation when Jesus returns again (1 Pet 1:3, 5).

How then should followers of Jesus live in view of this salvation?

1 Pet 1:13 gives a hint:
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

The rest of 1 Peter goes into details discussing how to live like Jesus in this present hard life.
