Text: John 13:1-17 | Series: John 12-21
Why would a ‘superhero’ like Jesus dress like a slave and act like a servant when He has all authority and power?
Why did He pick up a towel to wash the disciples’ feet instead of a sword to fight His enemies?
The sword would have gotten rid of Judas and Satan. But it wouldn’t have rescued the other disciples or you and me from our sin problem.
Could this have foreshadowed the cross which was only a few hours away from the supper?
What is the Lord trying to teach us by being the Man of the Towel?
