Text: Colossians 2:6-7 | Guest Speaker: Pastor Tommy Hullette

How is your walk with God?

This is a question Christians need to ask themselves.

Colossians 2:6 directs us to walk in Christ, to be connected to and empowered by Him. Because apart from Him we can do nothing.

Genuine Christians have the desire to please Christ. To do that, we need to walk in Him.

How? You ask.

By being rooted in Him. Christ has rescued us from darkness and in Him we have redemption. In Christ we have empowerment and it is the Gospel empowers us to bear fruit.

The speaker encouraged us to read and depend on the word of God lest we drift away from the Gospel and live in our own righteousness or make excuses for our sins, in an effort to protect our own righteousness.

Confess and repent of the sins of self justification and trust Christ who has given us the gift of righteousness.

When you wake up in the morning, proclaim the Gospel to yourself and pray for your heart to be focused on the Gospel. Depending on the Gospel gives birth to gratefulness in us, which in turn results in kindness, love, forgiveness, patience, self control…

Note: due to technical issues, we do not have the audio file for the sermon. While technology has been very helpful, we do encourage that you come join us for the service if you are able to, so you can worship the Lord with us and fellowship with the community of the Lord’s people.
