Text: John 21:18-25 | Series: John 12-21

Today, we conclude the John sermon series by looking at John 21:18-25.

We see that following Jesus is costly.
Jesus revealed to Peter following Jesus would involve dying to the self and suffering. He told Peter that he would endure a death like His: crucifixion.

And His encouragement to Peter is “Follow me”, to glorify the Father in his life and death.

Following Jesus is also personal.
We have to individually respond to the Gospel and we must be content with the calling that God has given us individually.

Following Jesus is based on both fact and faith.
John challenges us to search for and see these truths. That it is not simply thinking through facts but also having faith in these truths.

But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31
